...But at least, if [info]ash57005 speaks truly, we won't have to encounter these particular ugly people again. Not for a very long time.

Hopefully, the rest of Christmas vacation will ease the bitterness.

Perhaps a more complete post may follow once I get home. Don't know yet.

Footnote: [info]ash57005 loves me deeply, and has proven it by standing up foor me to these people, despite the turmoil and pain it must cause him to do so. I am so very proud of my knight in black shiny armor.

Today we took in 2 events:

1. in Yorkton, we went to the Tower Theatre for a "free" movie, at 11 a.m. - the cost was one donated food item each, to go the Salvation Army food hampers. We used our change to buy 2 small bags of popcorn, and enjoyed "Night at the Museum - The Battle of the Smithsonian".

2. next, in Ebenezer, we attended the Live Nativity, 2-4 p.m. It included 1 cow (heiffer), 1 mini-horse, 3 sheep (all in pens), a wooden stable with manger and straw, and people in costume.
Yes, they had a Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus, plus 1 angel (Tabatha, a cute pre-schooler), an innkeeper (Pr. Rick Gibson, who looked authentic with beard, apron, towels, and a cane instead of his usual walker), plus lots of shepherds!

Afterwards, we all went inside the "inn" for hot chocolate and doughnuts (Timbits), then saw a short movie called, "The Innkeeper's Dream". It was a very well-done and enjoyable film, too.

Later, back in Rhein, we'd just finished a heat'n'eat supper, when our new neighbour called and said he had something for us - he brought over an assortment of Tim Horton's doughnuts!
Yay! dessert.

All in all, it was a pretty good day.

I know, I know, I'm way behind on posting updates in livejournal.
One tiny excuse is that I've been away in BC for 10 days - great weather there, good to see BC family and friends again, enjoyed seafood and other tasty treats...

Will try to post more details soon.

Thank you to everyone who shared in making the trip an awesome success!
